Chelsea defender Thiago Silva and midfielder Kai Havertz missed the 2-0 victory over Newcastle United on Saturday.
Havertz tested positive for Covid-19 at the beginning of the month and has missed Chelsea’s last three games, as well as Germany’s matches with the Czech Republic, Ukraine and Spain during the international break.
Thiago Silva missed the game against Newcastle after Chelsea boss Frank Lampard opted to rest the Brazilian after a long trip back to London from South America.
Ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League game against Rennes, Lampard has confirmed both players will be available for selection.
“Kai and Thiago will both travel and they are fit for selection,” Lampard said at his pre-match press conference on Monday.
Lampard also confirmed Christian Pulisic won’t be available for selection for Tuesday’s game against Rennes.
Lampard added: “Christian stays back and doesn’t travel but the good news he has had good progression in the last week.
“The reason he is staying back is to get some physical work in to hopefully have him ready for selection for this weekend and onwards.”
