Marcos Alonso has fallen out of favour at Chelsea this season and hasn’t featured since being substituted at half-time when Chelsea were 3-0 down to West Brom in September.
The 29 year old left-back was reportedly unhappy with the decision to substitute him and tried to watch the second half of the Hawthorns match on the Chelsea team bus – prompting a furious reaction from manager Frank Lampard.
According to reports, Alonso might be rescued from his Chelsea nightmare by a Premier League club.
According to Daily Mail, Premier League side Crystal Palace are looking at Chelsea left back Marcos Alonso as a potential replacement for out-of-contract defender Patrick van Aanholt.
Van Aanholt is one of a several Palace players whose deals run out at Selhurst Park at the end of this season.
Though Crystal Palace hope the popular Dutchman stays, Alonso will be signed as a replacement should Van Aanholt opt against signing a new Crystal Palace contract.
