Chelsea boss Frank Lampard slightly rotated his side for the game against Rennes, as he had one eye on Tottenham clash this weekend.
Chelsea got an important win against Rennes to seal qualification to the next round of the Champions League, and the Blues have an even bigger task against Spurs on Sunday.
Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has revealed that Lampard has already warned the players of the game to come against Jose Mourinho’s side.
Asked if the squad are aware of the magnitude of their game against Tottenham this weekend, Mount told Chelsea TV: “Yeah, everyone knows.
“The gaffer has made it very known how big of a game it is.
“All of us boys know how big of a game it is and we’re going into the game with the confidence that we want to win.
“And that’s what we’ve been doing recently and we’re not going to change.
“Obviously, we know how big of a game it is and how tough it’s going to be
“But we’re ready, we’re confident and we’re ready to fight.”
