Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has criticised Chelsea boss Frank Lampard for not taking risks against Tottenham Hotspur in the goalless draw between both teams on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho is obviously trying to take attention off Tottenham’s pragmatic approach against Chelsea as they were happy to sit deep and give Chelsea all the possession.
Spurs had no attempt on goal in the second half as they were happy to play for a draw.
Mourinho said: “In the last ten minutes of the game that was pretty clear [Chelsea not willing to take a risk].
“Normally you expect Chelsea at home that a draw is not good for them. You expect some more risk.
“There was not really people taking big risks. We wanted to win, I promise you that, but it was not easy.
“It was not an easy match for us. The good thing is that I don’t remember to play here against Chelsea or with Chelsea, I don’t remember the opposite goalkeeper making just one save in 90 minutes and that was what Hugo did, an amazing save but one save from a long distance shot.”
