Jose Mourinho is known to be a manager who uses psychological tactics to get his players ready for a game.

It’s not news that the Tottenham manager bought ham worth £500 for his left-back Sergio Reguilon, as the Spaniard kept Riyad Mahrez quiet in their game against Manchester City.

Former Chelsea star Joe Cole believes that Mourinho would get his players all psyched up for this game, saying that little touch will spur his side on.

Cole said on Coral and JOE Media’s All to Play For podcast: “That little touch he done with [Sergio] Reguilon where he said to him, ‘if you stop [Riyad] Mahrez dribbling past you I’ll buy you a leg of ham’, little things like that.”

Meanwhile, Jose posted a photo of him and Reguilon on social media with the caption: “A promise is a promise. It has cost me £500, but I keep my promises.”

The Portuguese will definitely have something up his sleeve for the Chelsea game, and Frank Lampard must get his team ready.
