Mendy: Unfortunate to finally concede a goal after a defensive lapse from the team. Commanded his area very well and was barely tested. 6/10
Reece James: Continued his fine form with yet another great performance. Combined well with Hakim Ziyech on the right flank yet again and made sure he did his defensive job while also supporting the attack. 7/10
Thiago Silva: Solid at the back yet again, and scored a stunning goal to help solidify Chelsea’s lead. 8/10
Zouma: Strong performance at the back as he continued his defensive partnership with Thiago Silva. 7/10
Chilwell: Kept bombarding the left flank, and his hard work was paid with Chelsea’s second goal. 7/10
Kante: He made the pass that set up Werner for his goal. Will be disappointed as he didn’t combine well with Kovacic for Sheffield goal. But his good rating will come from his defensive work. Worked very hard in midfield and cut off many of Sheffield United’s attacking play. 8/10
Kovacic: Good assist for Chelsea’s equaliser, scored by Tammy Abraham. Did well in midfield as he combined well with the forward players before going off injured. 7/10
Mount: A good save by Aaron Ramsdale denied him a brilliant goal. Worked hard in the middle of the park and was involved in some fine play. 6/10
Ziyech: He did everything right tonight and made the attacking players look good. Got two assists, and he was extraordinary. His passes and long plays was just too good. 9/10
Werner: The game ended with him scoring the fourth for Chelsea, and his 8th in 12 games. Worked hard on and off the ball. Missed a good chance when one on one with Ramsdale but made up for it shortly after. 7/10
Abraham: Got a deserved goal and really worked hard for his side from the front. 7/10
Jorginho: Came off for Kovacic and brought calm to the midfield. 6/10
Giroud: Late sub for Werner.
