Chelsea are massive favourites to beat Rennes, as the Blues play host to the French side, in the Champions League tie on Wednesday night.
Chelsea currently top the group, although level on points with Sevilla, with four points from two games, after a goalless draw against Sevilla and a 4-0 win against Krasnodar.
Meanwhile, Rennes midfielder James Lea Siliki doesn’t seem to be carried away by Chelsea’s superstar status, and has said that it’s possible for them to beat Chelsea.
“It would be even more beautiful to beat them now,” Rennes midfielder James Lea Siliki told AFP in response to a question about Chelsea’s good form ahead of the Champions League clash.
“We will not start as the favourites but a match is never played in advance and we have already seen [shock results]. It happened before, it will happen later, and why not us?”
A win for Chelsea will strengthen our quest to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
