Kurt Zouma and Thiago Silva has formed a solid partnership in the heart of Chelsea’s defence, with the Blues conceding just once when both players have started.
However, a report claims Chelsea might have missed the partnership as the Blues were open to selling Zouma if the club’s asking price was met.
According to French media outlet L’Equipe via Tribal Football, Chelsea were prepared to sell Zouma for €45million during the summer transfer window.
The report claims Tottenham and Everton tabled offers for Zouma but their offers were rejected the Blues as it didn’t match Chelsea’s asking price for the Frenchman.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be happy Tottenham Hotspur and Everton weren’t able to match Chelsea’s asking price for Zouma as he has been outstanding for the Blues this season.
