Jose Mourinho had two stints as Chelsea boss, and while his first stint was terminated based on mutual consent, the second wasn’t.

Jose Mourinho was fired in the 2015-16 season after a poor start to the season, with Chelsea languishing in 16th place.

Interestingly, former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg claims Jose Mourinho blames him for his sacking by Chelsea.

Clattenburg officiated Mourinho’s last match in charge of Chelsea, a game Chelsea lost 2-1.

Asked on Paddy Power’s From The Horses Mouth podcast whether any managers or teams bored a grudge against him, Clattenburg replied: “Jose Mourinho did, in the end.

“He was hard work when he came back from Real Madrid, and well, I got him the sack at Chelsea.

“Well, he blames me for getting him the sack at Chelsea – but I would say it was more all of the results before that, too.”

He added: “When he [Mourinho] went to Manchester United, he was thinking the same thing – I’m going to get him the sack, so he was always anti-me.”
