Timo Werner missed two big chances in the 2-1 win against Rennes, as Chelsea booked a place in the knockout stage of the Champions League.
Werner missed a huge chance early in the first half, after Callum Hudson-Odoi squared a fine pass for him.
Late in the second half, Werner was presented with a one-on-one chance but missed it against Alfred Gomis. Fortunately for him, Olivier Giroud scored from the eventual rebound to seal a late victory for the Blues.
Ziyech did not appear pleased with Werner’s missed opportunity, and after the late winner, Ziyech did not forget the miss by Werner, and as all the Chelsea players were celebrating in a huddle around Giroud, the Moroccan took the opportunity to speak to Werner about his miss.
Ziyech appeared to tell Werner that he cannot to miss such golden opportunities, and Werner himself apologised and admitted he could have done better with his effort.
