At the start of the season, Tammy Abraham was relegated to the bench, with Timo Werner calling the shots for Frank Lampard’s new look attack.

Frank Lampard went all out to sign players during the summer transfer window, and many believe that it would have an impact on the likes of Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount, who were key players last season.

Abraham was Chelsea’s top scorer last season, but he had been unable to get into the team until recent weeks.

However, following an injury to Christian Pulisic, Abraham has gotten into the starting squad lately, and he has admitted how pleased he is.

Speaking to Chelseafc.com after the Blues’ impressive 4-1 win against Sheffield United, Tammy Abraham said: “I am over the moon to be back in the team.

“I am playing with great players and the new signings have been a breath of fresh air. We are starting to understand how each other plays and we are getting results.

“We have brought in new players and we are understanding each other more. We have self-belief now, the belief is back, the confidence is back and we hope we can keep it going.”
