Tammy Abraham has started the season in fine form, with five goals for Chelsea so far this season.
The 23-year-old has now scored three goals in his last three starts, and is looking every bit of a quality striker.
An initial header from a Hakim Ziyech cross was kept out by a good save from the Newcastle goalie, before Abraham scored from a swift counter, following a nice run from Timo Werner.
Abraham has insisted that he is a typical number 9, and hopes to keep scoring for Chelsea.
“We didn’t let the international break distract us, we had to come out with all guns blazing which is what we did and it is a massive three points,” Abraham said about the team.
Speaking about his own form, he said: “For me, to be back in the team is an honour. I have played for this club since the age of seven and I have always been a no.9 up front and I have been given my chance, and hopefully I keep scoring.”
