Hakim Ziyech has been receiving major plaudits in recent weeks, courtesy of his fine form for Chelsea, where he bagged two man of the match awards in his last two games.

Ziyech has shown that he can produce the goods on a consistent basis, by taking that same form to his national team.

Morocco defeated Central African Republic twice, and Ziyech was at the forefront yet again, with two goals and an assist.

Morocco took the lead in the 10th minute as Ziyech laid a fine assist for Inter Milan’s Achraf Hakimi, who made no mistake to beat the goalkeeper from close range.

The hosts were pegged back 15 minutes later when Louis Mafouta equalised for Central African Republic.

Ziyech restored Morocco’s advantage just after the half-hour mark from the spot, before extending their lead two minutes later.

The visitors pegged back 15 minutes later when Louis Mafouta equalised to make it 1-1.

However, Ziyech restored Morocco’s advantage just after the half-hour mark as he scored from the penalty spot, before extending their lead two minutes later.

Morocco eventually won the game 4-1, with Ziyech calling the shots in another familiar scoreline.

Ziyech has been garnering attention for some weeks, and we can only hope it continues this way.
