Chelsea fans have been impressed with the performance of Christian Pulisic since the second half of last season, where he became one of Chelsea’s best players and helped the Blues secure a top four finish.
However, injuries have marred his Chelsea career so far, and he has missed Chelsea’s last two games due to hamstring worries.
Chelsea fans have become frustrated with Pulisic’s lack of availability, and many have tagged him as an injury prone player.
US boss Gregg Berhalter seems to always get questions surrounding Pulisic’s fitness in seemingly every international break, but the American coach has defended his star player.
Berhalter told ESPN: “I don’t see it like that. I really see it as a young player who is just adapting to the demands of a different game, a different schedule.
“When you get injured, when you have a muscle injury, it takes you a while to get fully fit and recover and this is part of his recovery process.
“I have no doubt that he’s going to be a player that is fit for a very long period of time when he gets through this period.”
