Chelsea youngster Mason Mount may be the most underrated midfielder in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old isn’t known for pace and skill and may not always give you the killer pass from deep as we get to often see from the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Bruno Fernandes
However, Mount still holds his ground in the league and has improved his game massively since last season.
Stats have now shown that the young midfielder is doing just fine and is in a top five category that has the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Kevin De Bruyne in it.
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes tops the list of most goalscoring chances created so far this season, as he has created a total of 44 chances, while De Bruyne has 42. This places him in second, and only behind Jack Grealish of Aston Villa, who has 41.
Chelsea’s Mason Mount is fourth on the list, with 34 chances created, while Leeds winger, Jack Harrison is fifth, with 32.
Interestingly, Mount’s corner-kicks have gotten better, and Kurt Zouma and Thiago Silva will testify. His free kick ability has also improved.
Mount might not be a flashy player, but he’s definitely an important player and his hard work in the middle of the park is second to none.
