Chelsea have gotten only 4 points from a possible 15 in the last five league games.
Chelsea were beaten 3-1 by Arsenal on Saturday, before facing Aston Villa.
The Arsenal defeat was an embrassing one as the team played badly, and the game against Aston Villa was expected to be a must win for the Blues.
Although Chelsea played well, the Blues ended up with just a point, and Chelsea skipper Cesar Azpilicueta has admitted that he was at least pleased with the character of the team in the game against Villa.
“We needed a reaction after Saturday’s performance but we’re disappointed not to get the three points,” Azpilicueta said.
“We talked about showing more character because we were very disappointed with the result and the performance [against Arsenal]. We were far from the level this group has shown a few weeks ago.
“From the first minute, the team competed well. We pushed until the end to get the three points but we couldn’t find a way.”
