Bayern Munich star David Alaba’s contract with Bayern is set to expire next summer and he is yet to agree a contract extension with the German champions.
Chelsea are among the favourites for the Bayern star who can play as a fullback, a centre-back and a defensive midfielder.
Reports have even claimed that David Alaba is said to be appreciative of the interest Frank Lampard has shown in him as Chelsea plan transfer talks.
Bayern Munich club legend, Olivier Kahn, who is also part of the boardroom at Allianz Arena, has conceded that the Austrian could move onto pastures new in 2021, with Chelsea said to be hot on his tail.
Asked if he believes the versatile performer could still sign a renewal, Kahn who is set to replace Karl-Heinz Rummenigge as the club’s chairman and CEO in December 2021, told Sport Bild: “At the moment I don’t know how that should happen.
“We rolled out the red carpet for David Alaba and went to our limits. David and especially his advisor Pini Zahavi have not walked that red carpet.
“It looks like he’s looking around. We have to accept that.”
