According to Goal via Tribal Football, Chelsea aren’t giving up on the pursuit of West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard reportedly sees the Englishman as a longterm replacement for N’Golo Kante in defensive midfield.
A January move is unlikely, given he has a contract until 2024 at West Ham but the Blues hope to get a deal done for the England international next summer.
Chelsea could also sell players to make room for Rice financially, with the likes of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri, Fikayo Tomori and Antonio Rudiger all on the market for loans or sales.
