Chelsea’s Pernille Harder has been named the best female footballer in the world in The Guardian’s list of the Top 100 female footballers in 2020.
Harder dethroned Chelsea star Sam Kerr to become the first player to have won the award twice. Harder moves up from an eighth-place finish in 2019 to regain the No 1 spot.
Harder is the deserved winner of the award after ending last season’s Bundesliga as the top scorer in the league, helping Wolfsburg to secure another league title and a Champions League final. She joined Chelsea during the summer.
Sam Kerr was the other Chelsea player to make the Top 10 at No. 7. Chelsea players Ji So-yun, Magdalena Eriksson, Beth England, Maren Mjelde and Guro Reiten made the Top 50.
Erin Cuthbert, Melanie Leupolz, Millie Bright and Ann-Katrin Berger were the other Chelsea ladies to make it into the Top 100.
