London rivals Arsenal were defeated 2-1 at home by Spirited Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolverhampton Wanderers at Emirates Stadium on Sunday night.
Former Chelsea defender David Luiz, who now plays for Arsenal, reacted to the defeat by posting a message on Instagram.
Luiz was substituted at halftime after he was unable to continue following a clash of heads with Wolves striker Raul Jimenez.
Luiz posted: “Sad day for us!!! We have to fight together until the end!! Also here to thank you all for all messages and ask for everyone to pray for Raul Alonso Jimenez 🙏💔 Get well soon bro.”
Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham reacted to Luiz’s post on Instagram by liking his post.
Meanwhile, Abraham was criticised for his performance in the goalless draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink said: “He had three chances. Three opportunities to make that his own.
“He has to improve in those moments. He did ever so well when he came in last season, for half of the season he was a breath of fresh air.
“Second-half he had it difficult but that’s normal because he’s a young boy.
“But second season he has to step up and at times he can do better.
“With his stature, with his ability, he can do better and score more important goals.
“Sometimes I wonder does he watch clips of himself after the game because certain times his movement can be better, his holding off can be better.
“He needs to keep on improving.”
