Following Chelsea’s 1-1 draw against Aston Villa on Monday night, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard confirmed Chelsea right-back Reece James has suffered a hamstring injury.
“Reece James has got a small hamstring issue,” Lampard said after Chelsea’s draw against Aston Villa.
James recently missed the game against West Ham due to a problem with his knee and the hamstring injury is a fresh injury.
Lampard described it as a minor injury, but James didn’t even make the bench against Villa. It remains to be seen whether he will be ready for Sunday’s clash against Manchester City.
