Goals from Thiago Silva and Tammy Abraham sealed a 3-0 win for Chelsea as the Blues defeated West Ham at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.
Chelsea had a good first 25 minutes in the game, with Thiago Silva scoring from a corner-kick as early as the 10th minute, heading firmly from a Mason Mount corner.
In the second phase of the first-half, West Ham grew into the game and became stronger. They pressed hard until the second half when Tammy Abraham scored in the 78th minute, as he tapped home from a Timo Werner strike. Two minutes later, Abraham got a brace to make it 3-0.
Speaking after the game, West Ham boss David Moyes claimed that the defeat was too heavy for his side and they never deserved to lose by that margin.
Moyes said: “I didn’t think we deserved that, but we lost three goals so that is the correct score. I think we had chances as well, we had a lot of the ball.
“This was a really bit test for us and I thought for a long period we’d done quite well, apart from the opening 20 minutes.”
