Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud scored four goals as Chelsea beat Sevilla 4-0 in Spain to secure top spot in the group.

Giroud was making just his second of the start of the season but gave Chelsea boss Frank Lampard something to consider with a breath-taking performance.

According to Opta, Giroud (34y 63d) is the oldest player in Champions League history to score a hat-trick, while he’s the oldest to do it in the European Cup since Real Madrid’s Ferenc Puskás in September 1965 (38y 173d v Feyenoord).
