Chelsea fans weren’t too surprised after Patrick Bamford scored the opening goal for Leeds United in Saturday’s game at Stamford Bridge.

It was the 8th goal of the season for Bamford, who scored on his return to Stamford Bridge, as he beat Edouard Mendy in the fourth minute of the game.

Bamford is a Chelsea academy product, as he joined Chelsea in 2012. He wasn’t able to make it at Chelsea, and was sent out on loan on six different occasions, which included spells at the likes of Crystal Palace, Derby County and Middlesbrough.

In January 2017, Bamford joined Middlesbrough on a permanent deal following his loan spell during the 2014/15 campaign, before going on to sign for Leeds United.

After an impressive start to the season, Chelsea fans weren’t surprised when the former Blue scored against his former club.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
