Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli was forced off during Arsenal’s League Cup defeat to Manchester City on Tuesday night.

The Brazilian only recently made his first appearance of the season after a long recovery from a knee injury he suffered months ago.

However, Martinelli has now taken to social media to allay fears that he won’t be ready to face Chelsea, revealing that he’s keen to face their London rivals.

Martinelli had shared a photo on Instagram with the caption: “Feeling fine and ready to go again.”

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Thomas Partey and Martinelli are the three Arsenal players in doubt to face Chelsea.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta gave an update on Martinelli to the media: “Sustained heavy impact and bruising to right shin during our match against Manchester City on Tuesday. Gabi is recovering well and we hope he will be able to participate in full training ahead of Saturday.”
