Bayern Munich defender David Alaba will become Chelsea’s highest earner if he completes a move to Chelsea.
According to German publication Bild, the Austrian international is demanding a contract of £350,000 per week to join Chelsea, which will make him the highest earner at the club.
Alaba is set to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season after both parties failed to reach an agreement on a contract extension.
Chelsea will be able to make an offer to Alaba in January but face competition from Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.
According to The Sun, Kai Havertz is currently Chelsea’s highest earner with a £310,000-a-week deal signed in the summer, ahead of Timo Werner’s £270,000-a-week salary.
N’Golo Kante and Kepa Arrizabalaga earn £150,000 with Christian Pulisic back on £145,000.
Thought to also be in the current top ten are Callum Hudson-Odoi, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell and Hakim Ziyech.
