It wasn’t an easy win for Chelsea against Leeds United, as the Blues had to bounce back from a goal down to win the game 3-1.
Just four minutes into the game, Chelsea had already conceded a goal courtesy of former academy product Patrick Bamford, and it was difficult task to end up as the winning team.
Leeds are a very hard team to play against, and their hard press makes them a difficult side to face.
With Olivier Giroud, Kurt Zouma and Christian Pulisic scoring the goals to secure a win for Chelsea, Blues boss Frank Lampard was very delighted at the end of the game.
Lampard admitted that he’d have to enjoy his evening with possibly a large win after a very difficult victory.
Lampard said after the match: “I’ll enjoy the evening. I will have a small glass of wine, maybe a large one, but at the same time we need to make sure we stay grounded – but there were a lot of good things.
“To play against Leeds with the form they are in, and the type of team they are, and to be that dominant in terms of chances was a real great performance from us.”
