Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour has been out injured since last season, after suffering a knee injury following the restart last term.
The 19-year has been out for more months, but has since resumed training in a bid to regain fitness.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has now revealed that the 18-year-old midfielder is back and will be part of the squad to play Sevilla on Wednesday.
“Billy is fit now,” said Lampard. “He could probably do with some more match minutes, which are hard to get behind the scenes in Covid times due to the way the bubbles are set up here at Cobham.
“He’s in the squad tomorrow and it would be nice if he can get some minutes, in particular over these next two Champions League games.
“He has a great attitude and will compete with the rest of the midfielders. I see him coming back at the level just before he got injured, he made a great impact and there will be so much more to come from him at this club, just because of the sheer talent he has.
“Billy has a great attitude, he trains really well and he’s looking spot-on, so he comes into the squad to compete with the other players in that midfield area.”
