Chelsea indeed missed the presence of a winger in the 1-0 defeat to Everton, with Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi all missing in action for the game.
Speaking ahead of facing Wolves at the Molineux Stadium, Lampard has now admitted that Pulisic will be available for the clash, although he failed to assure if Pulisic will start the game or play from the bench.
“He trained on the day we played against Everton and felt better,” Lampard said ahead of Wolves clash.
“He’s in the squad tomorrow and it’s yet to be decided whether he starts or not. It’s obviously positive news from the weekend.”
Pulisic has been having hamstring problems since last season, and has missed a good number of games this season. Lampard has said that he will have to manage the American optimally due to his muscle issues.
Speaking to BT Sports ahead of the Everton game, Lampard revealed that he had to rest Pulisic due to his muscle issues, but said that the American will be back to face Wolves on Tuesday.
Lampard told BT Sport before kick off against Everton: “Christian has a bit of awareness in his hamstring. He’s been training through the week but he felt some awareness and we simply can’t risk him.
“We have seen two wingers go down recently, Ziyech last week and Callum in training. We are coming up to a busy period in the season.
“As we keep saying, players are getting a lot of muscle injuries. Christian wasn’t ready quite, but hopefully for Tuesday night, we will find out next week.”
