Chelsea fans were in for a shocker when Frank Lampard named his starting lineup, with Chelsea boss Frank Lampard dropping the in-form Olivier Giroud for Tammy Abraham for the game against West Ham.
Lampard named a front three of Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham, but some Chelsea fans didn’t seem impressed.
At the end, Tammy was at the right place at the right time to score two quick fire goals in the second half that eased Chelsea to a 3-0 win against the Hammers.
Indeed, Lampard was pleased with the outcome as he said after the game: “It’s good for his confidence clearly. You have to work for your goals and he worked for them today because he put a lot of effort in.
“I wanted him to be a handful and to have energy and move the backline which he did.
“Oli Giroud has been doing it for us in his own way and scoring goals so it was a decision more on the opposition today to play Tammy and I was pleased with how he did.”
