Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be up against his former boss Carlo Ancelotti, whom he spent two seasons under as a player.
The Italian helped guide Chelsea to the Premier League title in his first season back in 2010, and Lampard has spoken highly of him ahead of Saturday’s game at the Goodison Park.
Ancelotti has won titles everywhere he has been to, including the Champions League, and Lampard has admitted that he learnt a lot from the Italian.
Lampard told the media ahead of facing Everton: “I was heavily influenced by him as a player and as a man at the time. He’s right at the top when I speak about the managers that I worked with.
“He’s had huge success in his career at various clubs and one-to-one I found him to be a great coach and a great man. I very much look forward at all times to seeing him and speaking with him.”
The Toffees started the season in fine form and were even top of the table, but have since lost steam and have won just once in their last seven games.
