For the first time since the opening week of the season, Chelsea have six days to prepare for a fixture, West Ham’s visit to Stamford Bridge on Monday.
Chelsea have played every three days since this season since the defeat to Liverpool at Stamford Bridge early this season.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has welcomed the chance for a proper recovery after consecutive defeats for the Blues.
He also urged his players to reflect on their performances in the two games we lost as we prepare for the visit of West Ham.
“They can have a little bit of a rest, hopefully not a happy rest because when you lose games you’re not happy, but physically the players need a bit of a break going into another really busy period,” Lampard said.
“We need to reflect on the two games we have lost points in, which is disappointing, but also know this is a long season. We have to bounce back; the players have to bounce back.”
Larmpard should not look down on Olivier Giroud.
And be Fair to all.
