Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has been slammed for his decision not to bring in Olivier Giroud against Arsenal despite Chelsea putting in lots of crosses.

The Blues made whopping 26 crosses – but Olivier stayed on the bench. It’s the highest amount of crosses any team has put against Arsenal this season.

Manchester United legend Gary Neville told Sky Sports: “I joked that he [Thiago Silva] may have to stay up in open play for the crosses and he has done.

“It’s why I was surprised Giroud didn’t enter the fray 20 minutes ago because they have been dangerous when they put it in the box from this [the right-hand side].”
