It’s been three years since Chelsea last celebrated a Premier League title, and Blues fans will be hopeful of winning the league this season.
For Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, who had the experience of winning the Premier League multiple times, he has told his players not to get carried away with any talk about winning the league.
Chelsea are currently third in the league and two points behind the leaders Tottenham, but Lampard declined talking about any potential title fight. Rather, the Chelsea boss has urged his team to be consistent, insisting that it’s consistency that wins the league.
He said when asked about a potential title fight: “I don’t know.
“We’re happy with where we are but I know there’s a long way to go. I don’t think it matters too much about the rhetoric right now because the words are not that important at this point.
“For us at Chelsea, it’s about how much we keep working and understand that consistency over a season is what wins titles, not matches up to the middle of December.”
