Arsenal are likely to be without key player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the Boxing Day clash against Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.
The forward missed the Gunners’ trip to Everton on Saturday after picking up an injury in training and he could only watch on as his side lost 2-1.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta confirmed the injury to Aubameyang and admitted Arsenal wants the striker back as quickly as possible.
“We want him [back] as quick as possible,” said Arteta.
“He has a small strain and will need a few days. I don’t know if it a week or two weeks.
“It will depend how the injury involves.”
