Edouard Mendy has been a solid signing for Chelsea as the Blues defence has drastically improved.
Mendy kept a clean sheet in the 3-0 win over West Ham, to now mark his 10th clean sheet for the Blues.
Interestingly, Chelsea’s second choice goalkeeper and last season’s number one Kepa Arrizabalaga struggled to keep up to 10 clean sheets, and took him as many as 45 appearances, compared to Mendy’s 16.

Meanwhile, Mendy has revealed that he’s pleased to be training with legendary Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech.
“First and foremost, for me, he’s [Cech] one of the very best in the business. So if someone like that backs you, you think to yourself that you must be doing something right. It’s a big deal,” Edouard Mendy wrote in Chelsea’s pre-match programme ahead of West Ham game.
“And now I’m lucky enough to train with him, which means I get to learn from him and hear where he thinks I can improve my game. Obviously, that’s a real privilege. I’m already making the most of it every day and I’ll continue to do so.
“He’s given me lots of advice on lots of different things. He passes on his own experiences. If it’s anything that can help me improve more quickly or get to a higher level, then it’s great to have that advice.
“So you listen and you try to put it into practice. When he talks about your game, you’ve got to be open and listen, above all because it’s coming from someone who has won pretty much everything and played at the highest level for so many years. So like I say, it really is a privilege.”
