Chelsea are in a bit of a rot at the moment, as the Blues have now lost four of their last five Premier League games.

Chelsea are currently 8th in the league, having lost to Arsenal 3-1 over the weekend. The Blues must now beat an in-form Aston Villa side at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening, to go higher up the table.

Despite having played two games less, Villa are currently ahead of Chelsea in the Premier League, and this game is a must win for Frank Lampard and his boys.

Villa manager Dean Smith has outlined how his team must work hard to beat Chelsea.

“Chelsea have got very, very good players, we’ve seen with their acquisitions in the summer that we need to be at our best, we know what we’re coming up against,” Aston Villa manager Dean Smith told his club’s official website ahead of the Monday clash.

“We’re coming up against a top-four team in the Premier League. We’ve got to be ready for that and ready to compete.

“If we see less of the ball then we’ve got to make sure we’re very good without the ball but when we win it back we’ve got to go and use it very well.”
