Tammy Abraham has started the season with five goals already to his credit, a figure that has already been matched by the more experienced Olivier Giroud who scored four in the 4-0 win over Sevilla on Wednesday night.
Abraham is in competition with Giroud for a starting role at the club, and even though Giroud has been behind Abraham, the young striker has revealed that he has a lot to learn from the more experienced Giroud.
Abraham has revealed how he tries to learn from Giroud, and the Frenchman even gives his criticisms when necessary.
“Of course, I learn a lot from him,” Abraham told the club’s official website.
“He’s someone I grew up watching on TV so it’s great for me to be training with him now every day.
“I like to watch him and steal some ideas to add to my own game. I look at the way he holds the ball up and try to add parts of his game to mine.
“He gives me advice all the time. We were on the plane back from Newcastle the other day and I asked him what he thought of my header that the keeper saved. He gave me good criticism and things I can work on to score more headers.”
