Our 17-game unbeaten run came to an end on Saturday at Goodison Park as Chelsea lost 1-0 to Everton.

Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell, who tastes a defeat for the first time in the Premier League as a Chelsea player, has urged his teammates to return to winning ways against Wolves on Tuesday.

Chilwell said: “It is how we react now. We have to react on Tuesday away at Wolves and the next few days we will recover and pick ourselves up.”

Chilwell insists the previous good form and talk from outside the club of a title challenge had not affected the team’s thinking.

He added: “We try not to listen to any of that. We are taking it a game at a time and we have a young squad, a lot of boys that are learning along the way.

“It is still a relatively new group in terms of gelling together and although we were unbeaten for however many games, with the squad we have we want to win every match but we know the reality of it is that we are not going to win every match.”
