Five Chelsea players have been called up to the Chelsea senior team ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup clash against Morecambe.
Tino Anjorin, Lewis Bate, Henry Lawrence, and Tino Livramento have all been training with the first team since last week, while youngster Jude Soonsup-Bell teamed up with the rest of the team on Wednesday.
The five youngsters will be hoping to at least make it to the bench against the League Two side, with Chelsea boss Frank Lampard in search of a much needed win.
Results have been poor of late, and it won’t be a good time for Lampard to field the highly talented youngsters despite Morecambe being a League Two side.
Meanwhile, Soonsup-Bell who will turn 17 on Sunday broke a goalscoring record in the Chelsea youth team late last year, scoring four times in an 8-1 thrashing of Barnsley in the FA Youth Cup in November. This was the first time in 59 years a Chelsea player had achieved the feat in that competition.
All five of them will hoping to at least make the bench against Morecambe, and possibly get a run-in in the second half if results go Chelsea’s way.
