‘Abramovich has had enough of it’ – Why Abramovich won’t appoint Allegri as Chelsea boss if Lampard gets sacked

Former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is reportedly one of the potential candidates for the Chelsea job if Frank Lampard gets sacked.

Lampard is under huge pressure as Chelsea boss following the 2-0 defeat at Leicester, our fifth defeat in eight games.

According to former Chelsea midfielder Craig Burley, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich won’t appoint Massimiliano Allegri as Chelsea boss because he has had enough of pragmatic managers as Chelsea boss.

Allegri is known for being a pragmatic manager and that was the reason Juventus sacked him despite his success at the Italian club.

Burley told ESPN: “Allegri is known for pragmatism. There is nothing wrong with that but Abramovich has always tried to get away from that. He had enough of it under [Jose] Mourinho.”
