Serie A side AC Milan and Ligue 1 side Rennes have been handed an advantage in the race for Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori.
According to Football Insider via Tribal Football, Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia would prefer to send Tomori overseas, even though Premier League sides Newcastle United and Leeds United want to sign the England defender.
Tomori has struggled for game time this season under Frank Lampard and hasn’t made an appearance in the Premier League or Champions League this season.
He has been fifth choice centre-back this season behind Thiago Silva, Kurt Zouma, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
Tomori is reportedly hoping a move can be sorted soon, as he will want to play regular football in the second half of this season.
