Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly set to sack Chelsea boss Frank Lampard today after a poor run of form which has seen the Blues drop to 9th on the table.
This is according to The Telegraph who claim Abramovich will sack Lampard today after 18 months at the helm at Stamford Bridge.
The report claims the Chelsea squad have been told not to attend training this morning as Lampard meets with the hierarchy.
It comes just 24 hours after Chelsea beat Luton Town 3-1 in the FA Cup to progress to the fifth round and Lampard had been expected to be given at least the next two fixtures against Wolves and Burnley at home.
The Chelsea board are worried Chelsea might miss out on a top four finish this season and have now decided to drop the club legend.
Chelsea have struggled under Lampard this season despite spending £225million in last summer on new signings.
Thomas Tuchel, Max Allegri, Brendan Rodgers, Julian Nagelsmann and Andriy Shevchenko have all been linked with replacing Lampard.
