Mason Mount has silenced his critics with some of his recent displays, especially the 1-0 win against Fulham, where he was named man of the match.
Mount has been one of Frank Lampard’s key players since last season, and the Chelsea boss has often spoken about the quality of the Chelsea academy product.
It seems it isn’t only Lampard who has noticed how much of a quality player Mount is, as former Chelsea youth coach and current Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers, has also hailed the 22-year-old.
“I’ve seen his talent for several years and he’s a fabulous player,” Rodgers said in his press conference ahead of the Chelsea game.
“He has great mobility and great technique, and he is a young player, that tells you everything about his mentality.”
He added: “Frank plays him virtually every game and he only does that because he knows he’s a top player and he has that hunger to succeed,’ the former Liverpool manager said.
“From a distance, he looks a really good lad as well and he works very hard each game.”
