According to reports, Frank Lampard’s team selection for the loss to Manchester City on Sunday raised the eyebrows of the board.

The Blues lost 3-1 to Manchester City on Sunday with the visitors scoring three goals in the opening 35 minutes.

According to The Sun via Daily Star, the Chelsea board are surprised Lampard opted to start Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech against Manchester City despite the winger just returning from injury after missing six games.

Ziyech failed to inspire against Manchester City as he wasn’t fit for the game and was replaced by Callum Hudson-Odoi after 64 minutes.
