Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo recently hailed Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.
Giroud had been linked with a likely exit in the January transfer window, with Juve and Atletico Madrid among the clubs rumoured to be interested in signing the Frenchman.
Pirlo went on to admit that his side would sign Giroud if the opportunity arises.
“He’d be handy,” Pirlo told DAZN when asked about Giroud (via Goal).
“The window opens tomorrow, we already discussed with the club what we want to do and if there are any opportunities.
“Maybe a striker that can rotate with our strikers.”
Chelsea fans aren’t keen to lose Giroud, especially in the January transfer window and have made their intentions known.
You see some of us were clamouring for extension of contract for Williams to stay, but we’re ignored. Giroud must be recognized for his penchant for goals and extend his contract. The up and coming ones must bid their time to grow in the Chelsea line up. Thanks.
Giroud should be maintained as a striker for chelsea and I believe in him that he can deliver for the team if and only the chance is give. Giroud have more potential in terms goal scoring than Tommy. Giroud should be given more playing time and please Lampard play Giroud more often and play him in front Timor Werner and stop playing Tommy in competitive matches.
