Chelsea have eventually decided to let go of young striker Charlie Brown, with the 21-year-old joining League One side MK Dons.

Brown joined Chelsea from Ispwich Town in 2016, but was never able to make the cut at Stamford Bridge.

Brown was sent out on loan to Belgium side Union SG, where he made his first professional appearances but found himself out of the side at the start of the current season and had to return back to Chelsea from his loan spell.

Chelsea have now confirmed Brown’s exit from the club as he’s set for a new time at MK Dons, who are 16th in League One.

Chelsea released a club statement, thus: “Chelsea Football Club thanks Charlie for his service and wishes him all the best in his future career.”
