Chelsea striker Timo Werner ended his 12-game goal drought by scoring in the 4-0 win over Morecambe on Sunday afternoon.
Werner was at the right place to tap home Kai Havertz header into the net, but still did not do well enough to impress Chelsea legend Frank Leboeuf.
According to the former Chelsea defender, Olivier Giroud still remains Chelsea’s best striker.
“According to what we saw lately, I think Giroud should be in the pole position for the No.9 position,” he told ESPN FC.
“[Werner] should mostly be on the left because Ziyech is going to play on the right.
“But I don’t see him as a striker. He’s struggling against big defenders in the Premier League.”
