Chelsea are in a battle with Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur for highly rated South Korean defender Kim Min-jae according to Daily Mirror.
The 6ft 3in Beijing Guoan centre-back,24, is nicknamed ‘the monster’ and is a rising star in Asia.
Min-jae’s contract expires in December 2021 and his club in the Chinese capital are ready to cash in.
Chelsea famously beat Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of Brazilian winger Willian in August 2013 and Jose Mourinho’s team want to avoid that scenario by making an early move for the South Korean.
