Chelsea appointed Thomas Tuchel on Tuesday after Frank Lampard was dismissed on Monday.

The new boss took charge of Chelsea for the first time in Wednesday’s goalless draw against Wolves, a game that the Blues totally dominated but were unable to find the net.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp who knows Tuchel from their time in Germany, has revealed that he has a lot of respect for the new Blues boss, while also revealing that he has a good squad.

According to Klopp, the Chelsea squad he inherited is a gift.

The Liverpool manager said: “Tuchel is great, I respect him a lot. This Chelsea squad is a present, eh? I am pretty sure Thomas sees it that way. They will be good.”

Meanwhile, Tuchel led Chelsea to a dominant display against Wolves, as Chelsea’s 466 attempted passes in the first half is the most by any team in any half in the Premier League this season, and the most in a first half by a Chelsea team since such records began in 2003/04.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
